Our Purpose

I play with STANS at Murdo Frazer because people show up there, but my preferred court is Little Cates Park. I like to play at 8 AM before the work day starts and the best days for me are Monday, Wednesday and Thursday."

It is great to play up to three times a week inside at the North Vancouver Tennis Centre between October and April with fellow STANS players. There are 6-7 courts assigned from 7 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. most every weekday and I can play with other players of my calibre if I choose (Team Chester) or general play (Team A). Playing with STANS is a lot of fun!  It’s so great to play with skilled players as well as those who have taken up the sport later in life.  Like me!  Now into it for 5 years and my skills are always improving!

Being new to North Vancouver ( from Ottawa) just a few months into the Covid outbreak, STANS proved to be invaluable to me allowing me to play tennis regularly and make new friends.
What a warm and welcoming group of players. I enjoyed playing with people of all levels and the drop in is great, especially for newbies like myself and those who don’t have a tennis partner.
Thanks to all those dedicated people who make it all happen.
